2020 Season: Postponed due to coronavirus

Hello,

Over the last few days, the government of Israel has introduced increasingly strict quarantine guidelines for a number of countries. Visitors from these countries are now required to self-quarantine for 14 days and if not possible, will be denied entrance into Israel.

So, after much deliberation and in compliance with the new restrictions, we are regretfully cancelling the excavation as the majority of our team is coming from countries with these restrictions.

This is upsetting news for all of us, as we know how excited you all are, and how much effort you have put into joining us.

We are hopeful that the number of coronavirus cases and the restrictions in place will ease over the next few months and so we are considering re-opening the excavation at a later date.

We will keep you updated in regards to another season of Tel Moa as things progress, and we do hope that we get the chance to meet you all! We are deeply saddened that this is our only option but we must follow the government instructions and prioritize the health and safety of all our participants.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at any time by emailing mozaexcavations@gmail.com or using the contact us form available on the website.

Kindest regards,

The Tel Moa Excavation Team
